Alma M. Brown, 96, a Berrien Springs resident for 35 years, died Thursday morning, November 1, 2018, at Shangrila Home in Berrien Springs.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, at Pioneer Memorial Church on the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 4, at Allred Funeral Home, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Online memories may be shared at www.allredfuneralhome.com. Alma was born March 5, 1922, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Herald and Helen (King) Cummings. She married Victor R. Brown on August 15, 1948, and she dedicated her life to caring for their family and supporting him in his lifework as a pastor for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her church membership was with Pioneer Memorial Church.

Survivors include three daughters: Cyndi Leffler, Vickie Doss, and Cheryl Doss; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Philips.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband in 2003.
