She was born December 18, 1919, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Paul and Nancy Cinquemani. During her last decade of teaching, Jacqueline taught reading, writing, and mathematics in the adult education program in Benton Harbor, and often spoke of those years as her most rewarding years as a teacher.
