Kathleen Stephens

Kathleen Harriet Stephens, 91, of Berrien Springs, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at home after a brief illness.



She was born February 13, 1926, on a farm near Hillsdale, Wisconsin, to Harry and Ardith Hoff.  After graduation from Barron (Wisconsin) High School in 1944, Kathy attended Eau Claire (Wisconsin) Business College, then Bob Jones University.  Her marriage to Roland R. Stephens on June 8, 1951, was blessed with four sons: Mark, Daniel, Brian, and Joel. 



After medical school and surgery residency, Roland joined Southwestern Medical Clinic before leaving in 1962 as medical missionaries to Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe, Africa).  Their final return from Africa was in January 2013.



Preceding Kathy in death were her parents and son, Joel.  Surviving are her husband, Roland; brother, David (Marjory); sons: Mark (Shirley, Stephen, Karen), Daniel (Julie, William, Wesley, Jason, David), and Brian (Susan, Amanda, Anna, Luke, Abigail, Allie) and grandchildren’s spouses; and 11 great-grandchildren.



Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, at Berrien Center Bible Church, and from 10 – 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, preceding the funeral at 11 a.m. at the church.  Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles.   Memorial donations may be made to T.E.A.M.
