Christie Anne Fentress

Christie Anne Fentress, born on February 21, 1977, in Berrien Center, passed away on May 23, 2026, in Kalamazoo. She was a deeply loving, compassionate, and spirited woman whose warmth touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Christie lived a life centered on love and family. She carried herself with kindness, compassion, and a caring heart that made others feel welcomed, valued, and supported. She had a gentle soul, an uplifting spirit, and a way of bringing comfort and happiness to those around her. Her laughter, strength, and loving presence will be remembered always.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Dewayne Fentress, and her grandmother, Norma Jean. Christie is survived by her beloved children, Justin Doan, Jerry Fentress, and Harley Dunn; her brother, Jeremy White, and his wife, Michele; her childhood best friend, Karen Latham; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. Her children were the greatest joy of her life, and the love she had for her family was unconditional and unwavering.

Christie found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved gardening, listening to music, and singing along to her favorite songs. She also had a remarkable talent for glass etching, a creative passion that brought her peace and joy. Whether through her creativity, her caring nature, or the time she spent with loved ones, Christie had a special gift for bringing beauty and love into the lives of others.

Christie will be remembered for her compassionate soul, her loving heart, and the light she brought into the world. The love she shared so freely and the memories she created with those around her will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit, kindness, and enduring love will remain a lasting comfort to all who knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bowerman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Eau Claire, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at Bowerman Funeral Home in Eau Claire on Tuesday June 2 at 12:00 noon. Visitation for family and friends will be the hour before the service.
