Danny Royce Kauffman

Danny Royce Kauffman, born on May 26, 1946, to the late Henry and Ellen (Nightenhelser) Kauffman in Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Niles, Michigan. Danny's life was a testament to dedication, service, and family.

Danny honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force; a chapter of his life that deeply shaped the man he would become.

On March 31, 1973, in Baroda, Michigan, Danny married his wife, Debra (Zech) Kauffman. From this bond, they were blessed with a son, Kyle, who with his partner Melody Pultz brought further joy into Danny’s life, especially with the arrival of his grandson, Camden.

Sadly, Danny was predeceased not only by his parents but also by his brother, Terry Kauffman.

Danny found pleasure in the simple things—whether it was meticulously mowing his lawn, watching Notre Dame football, camping, or losing track of time tinkering in his workshop. The time he spent with his family was the time he valued most.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Danny will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
