Donna Marie (Watkins) Johns, age 79, of Stevensville, Michigan, passed away on June 17, 2026. She was born on September 13, 1946, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and devotion to the people she loved.
Donna was a Christian woman whose faith guided her throughout her life. She found comfort and strength in going to church, and her belief in God was reflected in the gentle way she treated others. Those who knew her will remember her as loving, kind, and deeply faith-filled. She had a nurturing spirit and a warm presence that brought comfort to family and friends alike.
Donna worked as a stocker in the retail industry, where she was known for her steady work ethic and dependable nature. She approached her responsibilities with care and dedication, and she took pride in doing her part well. Her life was one of quiet strength and simple goodness, and she touched many lives through her everyday actions.
In her personal time, Donna enjoyed arts and crafts and found joy in creative expression. She especially loved spending time with her sisters, and those moments together were among her most treasured. Family meant everything to her, and she cherished the bonds she shared with those closest to her. Her nurturing heart was evident in the way she cared for others and in the love, she gave so freely. She also loved sewing, was known for being a great baker. Her children will remember her as a loving and caring mother.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian (Barton) Watkins and Cameron Watkins, and by her siblings Arnold, Cameron, Gary, Claron, Wilma, and Mary. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life. She is survived by her siblings Ester Kuiat and Robert (Ginny) Watkins, her children Rick (Richard Fisher) Johns and Sherry (James) Macigewski, and her niece Sheila Hartlerode. She also leaves behind many others who will remember her with love and gratitude including her five grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, Abigail, Max, and Quentin.
Donna’s life was a testament to faith, family, and compassion. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her loving heart, and the many ways she showed care to those around her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
