Larry Lee Dubois, a tender-hearted and gracious soul, left this world on June 4, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on July 19, 1944, in Albion, Michigan, Larry's dedication to his family and his strong work ethic became the cornerstones of a life fully lived. His passing at Hanson House Hospice in Stevensville, Michigan, marks the end of an era for all who knew and loved him.
Devoted to his roots, Larry spent most of his life in the state of Michigan, cultivating a career as a skilled X-Ray service technician eventually becoming the owner/operator of Berrien X-Ray which spanned several decades. His professional life was as thorough as it was long-standing, marked by the kind of commitment and reliability that echoes his character.
Larry's pursuits went far beyond his dedication to his work. He loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, gardening and watching wildlife. Yet, these hobbies paled in comparison to his dedication to his family, particularly in his role as a caregiver to his wife, Beatrice Dubois, who preceded him in passing.
As much as he enjoyed his tranquil pastimes, it was the role of a husband, father, and friend that Larry held most dear. He was a generous man and his kindness touched many lives. Larry's legacy is carried on by his seven children: James Dubois, Joyce Dubois, Allen Hammerquist (Karen), Christine Ziemer (Jim), Glenn Hammerquist (Denise), Wayne Hammerquist (Sherry) and Nancy Hammerquist, who remember him for his support, humor and love.
While we mourn the loss of Larry Lee Dubois, we also celebrate the heartfelt impact he had on us all. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the many stories of his warmth, the wisdom he imparted, and the times he shared with each person he encountered. The world has lost not just a man, but a beacon of kindness, and a true gentleman. Larry's light will continue to shine in the hearts and lives of all who were privileged to know him.
