Leo K. Smith

Leo K. Smith, 85, of Berrien Springs passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville and is home with his Lord, whom he loved and served.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, with Rev. Mary Shawl-Ranke officiating.  Friends may visit from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs.  Memorials may be made to Hanson Hospice Center, 4382 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, MI 49127.  Online messages may be left at www.allredfuneralhome.com.

Leo was born October 16, 1931 in Pomeroy, Ohio and married to Stannie for six years.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He was always thinking of others.  He enjoyed woodworking and cooking.

His first wife, Jean Zahl Smith, preceded him in death.  He is survived by his wife, Stannie; four daughters and two sons: Betty Urso of Benton Harbor, Barbara McGuckin of Apple Valley, California, Pamela Smith of Benton Harbor, Eugenia Smith-Miller of Benton Harbor, Sam Smith of Antwerp, Ohio, and Kenneth Smith of San Diego, California; and four grandchildren.
