Linda Marie (Sherwin) Thompson, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024, in Niles, MI, at the age of 67. Born on May 3, 1957, in the picturesque town of Mussoorie, India, Linda's life was a tapestry of warmth, creativity, and dedication to her loved ones.
Linda's early years in Pakistan laid the foundation for a life characterized by service and an appreciation for world travel. Her academic journey led her to Andrews University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with minors in Arts and Crafts and Remedial Reading.
As a pastor's wife, Linda embraced her role with grace and humility, supporting her husband's mission and serving the community in various capacities. Her unwavering support and involvement in church activities were a testament to her faith and her commitment to serving others. Linda's role as a proud homemaker was one she cherished deeply, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home. She was a source of encouragement and support, often providing a listening ear and a soft-spoken word of wisdom.

Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in sewing and transforming fabrics into beautiful creations. Linda's love for the outdoors was evident in her enthusiasm for camping, which started with her family’s summer vacations in the mountains of Kashmir.
Family was the cornerstone of Linda's life. She is lovingly remembered by her two children, Rachelle (Brenton) Offenback of Berrien Springs, and Jonathan (Evaine) Thompson of Pensacola, FL. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Kayleigh and Emma Offenback, who will forever hold dear the memories of their grammy’s love and gentle guidance.
