Marjorie Ann Wotring

July 8, 1950 — October 24, 2023

Marjorie Ann Wotring, a long-time resident of Berrien Springs, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023 in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Born on July 8, 1950 in Adrian, Michigan, Marjorie's life was marked by her dedication to caring for others and her love for the simple pleasures in life.

Raised in Adrian, Marjorie graduated from Adrian High School in 1968. She carried her love for her hometown throughout her life, often returning to the place where her roots lay deep. Her fondness for Adrian was a testament to her deep connection to her origin and her unwavering sense of belonging.

Marjorie received her LPN from Hinsdale School of Nursing in Hinsdale Illinois. Her compassionate nature led her to dedicate her life to nursing and caretaking. She was the proud owner of Red Bud Estates AFC Home, a testament to her lifelong commitment to providing care and comfort to those in need.

Marjorie had a fondness for the holiday season, particularly Christmas, and took immense pleasure in making Christmas cookies with her family and capturing many memories through her avid hobby of photography. Simple acts of love and joy were a true reflection of Marjorie's spirit, one that found happiness in giving and sharing.

Her love for animals was another facet of her gentle and generous nature. She found companionship and comfort in her furry friends, treating them with the same kindness and care she extended to everyone around her. She has them all in her heart, and Bennett, Burke and Bootsey will always be with her.

Preceding Marjorie in death were her parents, Harold and Erma Burke Wotring, and her three brothers: Glennis Wotring, Roger Wotring, and Ronald Wotring. They remain in our hearts as we remember the bonds of family that tie us together. Marjorie's spirit lives on through her surviving family members Patricia (Henry) Kuhlman, Carol Fancher, Sue Martin, and 24 of 26 nephews and nieces.

Marjorie Ann Wotring's legacy is love, generosity, gentleness, compassion and care. Her memory will continue as a shining light in the hearts of all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan.
