Nadija E. Cuthbert

Jun 24, 1958 — Oct 26, 2026

Eau Claire, Michigan

Nadija Elizabeth Cuthbert, age 68, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on October 26, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that touched the lives of her family and friends.

Nadija married the love of her life, Robert Cuthbert; they remained married for 52 years. Together, they built a life rooted in love and commitment. Her home was her sacred space that she kept meticulously clean. In her younger years, she expressed creativity through drawing, painting, and cross stitching. Above all, Nadija had a strong passion when it came to cooking, every ingredient and detail mattered. She would not serve any meal until it was absolutely perfect.

Nadija was also known for her strong spirit and determination. She could be stubborn in the best possible way-steadfast in her convictions, unwavering in her love for her family, and determined when something mattered to her. That strength was part of what made her so special. Beneath it was a tender heart, a generous nature, and a deep desire to care for the people God had placed in her life.

Nadija was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Galtzew, and her sisters Lydia, Antonia, and Christine with whom she is now reunited in Heaven. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Cuthbert; her two beautiful daughters, Nicole (Adam) Trongo and Daisy (Ken) Skibbe; her grandchildren, McKayla Trongo, Kyler Trongo, and Jacob Skibbe; and her sister, Claudia, along with other extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Nadija will be remembered for her deep faith, gentle spirit, unconditional love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her life was a testament to the beauty of loving others wholeheartedly and remaining steadfast in what matters most. Though she will be profoundly missed, her family can take comfort in the faith that sustained her and the hope of being reunited with her in the presence of the Lord.

Nadija will be placed to rest at Shanghai Memorial Cemetery at a service on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 2:30p.m.
