Ruth Ann (Toney) Gorski

November 15, 1948 — April 22, 2017

Ruth Ann (Toney) Gorski of Berrien Center passed away peacefully at her home on April 22, 2017.

A daughter of the late Richard and Doris Patterson Toney, Ruth was born on November 15, 1948, in Benton Harbor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Gorski, of Cheboygan, Michigan, whom she married in 1975; and her brother, Charles Toney, of Berrien Center.

Ruth graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1967.  She attended Davenport College and Lake Michigan College, earning associates degrees in accounting and computer programming.

She is survived by her son, Stanley (Carrin) Gorski of Painesville, Ohio; her daughter, Amanda (Brian) Wilcox of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Krystoph and Evelyn Gorski; a nephew, Richard (Karen Anne) Toney of Wetumpka, Alabama; a niece, Karen (Arthur) Brood of Rudyard, Michigan; and nieces: Rhiannon Toney, Rebecca and Hannah Brood.

Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Union Cemetery, 10408 M-140, Berrien Center, followed by a celebration of life open house at 1:30 p.m. in the amphitheater at Riverfront Park in Niles.  Please feel free to bring lawn chairs.
