Shirley Mae Perock

July 20, 1930 — January 13, 2024

Shirley Perock went to rest in the Lord on January 13, 2024.


She was born July 20, 1930 in Holly, Michigan. She attended Adelphian Academy and then went on to Emmanuel Missionary College, now Andrews University. She became an Administrative Secretary and was employed by the Whirlpool Corporation. She met her husband Phillip Perock and married in 1952. They moved to Berrien Springs and raised three children: Alan, Peg and Lisa.


Later in life, she became an entrepreneur for ten years running the Hallmark store in downtown Berrien Springs. She enjoyed connecting with many in the community during that time.


Shirley was a long time member of the Village SDA church in Berrien Springs, where she was active with various responsibilities within the church.


She enjoyed international travel, reading, planting flowers, going to the gym and loved spending time with her family.


Shirley is survived by her daughters Peg Perock and Lisa Perock Schuler (Darrell), granddaughters; Laurel Kelley (A.J.) and Brooke Jones (Rylan); great granddaughter Brynley Kelley; sister Sharon Plooster and sister-in-law Evonne Hosking.



Preceding her in death are Phillip Perock and Alan Perock.


Arrangements were handled by Allred Funeral Home. A small private service was held on January 27, 2024 with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
