Virginia “Ginny” Mae (Powell) Lusk of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania died on April 8, 2026 at her niece's home in Berrien Springs, Michigan after a short illness. She lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and kindness.
Ginny was the cherished daughter of John and Mary (Milhoan) Powell. The fifth of seventh children, she remained close to her brothers and sisters throughout her life and was a steadfast strength to both them and their children.
Ginny graduated from Trinity High School in Washington, Pennsylvania in 1952. She married Kenneth "Dutch" Lusk in 1961, and they were married until his death in 1984. Dutch and Ginny traveled throughout the Mid-Atlantic states in the early years of their marriage for his marketing job with All-Jersey Inc. Dairy farming remained a central focus in their lives with many days spent supporting stepchildren and grandchildren in their dairy farming, even though Ginny was certainly more a sideline cheerleader than active participant!
Ginny worked as a bookkeeper at Eighty Four Agway for over forty years. Generations of co-workers and customers appreciated Ginny's detailed diligence and cheerful manner.
Ginny was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Edwards Chapel United Methodist Church in Finleyville, Pennsylvania. Music and singing were among Ginny's greatest joys. She loved lifting her voice in praise, all while sporting perfectly styled hair and sparkling earrings.
Ginny is survived by her sisters Joanne Mounts and Lila King; spouses of her stepchildren Connie Lusk, Nancy Lusk, and Lorraine Lusk; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Lusk; four siblings John Powell, Mary McDaid, Robert Powell, and David Powell; stepchildren Robert Lusk, Ronald Lusk, Donald Lusk, and Russell & Glenda (Lusk) Miller.
A funeral service will be held on April 25 at 10am at Edwards Chapel with a luncheon served there after interment.
Memorial contributions may be made to Edwards Chapel, and mailed to Judy McCarren 208 Vanceville Rd, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
Ginny will be remembered with love and gratitude. Her life was a testament to faith, family, and the enduring power of a cheerful heart.
