William "Bill" Arthur Fisher

Mar 26, 1960 — Sep 30, 2026

William “Bill” Fisher, age 66, of Niles, Michigan, passed away after complications following surgery, on September 30, 2026, in South Bend, Indiana. He was born on March 26, 1960, in Niles, Michigan, and lived a life marked by love, humor, courage, and devotion to the people and places that meant the most to him.

Bill was born to the late Ken Fisher and Marlene (Deitrich) Gillette. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cyndy Archer, and his brother, Karl Fisher. Though he experienced loss in his lifetime, he carried himself with strength and resilience, and he remained a steady and caring presence to those who knew him best.

On May 7, 1983, in Berrien Springs, Michigan, he married the love of his life, Kimberly Kay Davis. Together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. He is survived by his wife, Kim Fisher of Niles; his daughter, April (Jay) Wagner of Reed City, Michigan; and his three cherished grandchildren, Emmaline, Easton, and Caleb. He is also survived by his brothers, Matt Fisher of Baroda, Michigan, and Tom (Jodi) Fisher of Berrien Center; his sister, Andrea Gillette of Niles; his in-laws, Jack (Pat) Davis of Berrien Springs; his sister-in-law, Kathy (Bob) Pugh Davis of Sodus, Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his loving puppy, Maggie, who was a constant companion and source of comfort.

Bill was a 1979 graduate of Berrien Springs High School, and he carried the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life. He spent most of his career at Modineer in Niles, where he worked as a quality inspector. He took pride in doing his job well and was respected by those who worked alongside him. His steady work ethic and dependable nature reflected the character of a man who believed in showing up, doing his best, and taking care of the people around him.

Bill loved the outdoors and found great joy in simple pleasures. He could often be found on the water fishing, out hunting, or sitting by a campfire listening to the crackle of the firewood. These moments brought him peace and happiness, especially when shared with family and friends. In his spare time, he also enjoyed collecting knives, playing guitars and listening to classic rock. Above all, he treasured time spent with his daughter and grandchildren, and he was a proud and loving uncle who enjoyed attending many of his nieces’ and nephews’ games and events.

The family will host a Celebration of Bill’s Life at the Oronoko Township Hall, 4583 East Snow Road, Berrien Springs, Michigan on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
